We celebrated a special Father’s Day!
Not only was it Mark’s first Father’s Day but he was also ordained tonight! The service was beautiful! Our dear friend Buddy Reeves gave a wonderful charge to the church to pray! Our former Pastor, Mike Woods, gave a eloquent charge to Mark to walk in a manner worthy of the gospel. And our pastor, Doug, gave an awesome message about the call of ministry. (We love Doug! We were so glad our friends and family got to hear him speak! We were proud to call him our pastor!).
Trey has been running a fever the last couple of days so we decided not to take him to the nursery. He sat with us for a little while. I think he thought the service was all about him because he made quite a show! Even when he was escorted to the back lobby he made his presence known to everyone…. oh that boy…. so crazy. By the end he was hungry, cranky and tired. This week up in Atlanta has worn him out! He is done! I expect him to sleep all the way home tomorrow!
It was so humbling to receive the prayer and encouragement from dear friends and family. It was just good to be encouraged and to see everyone! Buddy spoke a little about encouragement and he was right… sometimes it is like a cool drink of water on a hot day. And let me tell you Savannah is hot in more than one way! We feel refreshed and re-energized to go serve the city of Savannah! We love you guys! Thank you!
I am so proud of Mark! He is a man of God! His character is tried and true. He is honest, trustworthy, respectable, hard working and faithful. He loves the church! He loves doing ministry. He loves people. He is a wonderful Daddy! And loves me with all he’s got! I was proud to stand beside him as his wife and partner in ministry! Of course my husband has faults, but I know in his heart, his one desire is love God and love others in a way that they may know Him.
We love you Mark! We are so proud of you! Happy Father’s Day ~ Trisha and Trey

Trey and I started a new Friday morning tradition. We leave a little after Mark leaves for work and go walk on the beach. The beach is amazing in the morning. It is not hot and I get some good exercise out of it.
We also find the coolest stuff on the shore. Last week we got some pretty shells but this week was the best. I felt like God was showing off for us! I love little stuff like this…
We found starfish everywhere! We tried to rescue as many as possible by tossing them back into the ocean : )

The skeleton of a stingray! So cool!
Look at this shell! This is the kinda shell you buy in a gift shop! It was just washed up on shore right as we were running by! Trey kept trying to eat it. Luckily he can’t swallow this one : )

Praise and Update:
-We have made it through our second week of small groups and things are going great! Mark and Doug figured out in the second week we had about 75% particiaption… that is awesome! There are four groups going. Please continue to keep them in your prayers. We have seen peoples open up in groups and God does a great work! Also keep praying for Mark as he writes questions… (the questions/material is sermon based aka we talk and go deeper about what Doug preaches on Sunday).
Request:
- We are moving. We don’t know when but our (Rental) house is on the market. This was a mutual decision between us and the landlord. It works out best for everyone. Personally, this one is kind of hard for me. This will be our forth move in a year and I am just ready to be settled. A house is a house. I don’t care where it is, I am just ready to have a home and settle for a little while. So, I would ask that you would pray this house would sell fast or we would be able to get out of the lease early. I know God has everything covered. I do not doubt His hand in all this but I am ready to get on with it. I do not want this house stuff to distract us from what we are called to do here.
[ Side note: the Savannah market is NOTHING like what is going on in Atlanta. It is slow but we still see "sold" signs every once in a while : ) Also, the owners listed the house at a great price!]
- The Spiritual Warfare is intense here! The scenery is nice but living here is no vacation!!! Please, we need your prayers! We need encouragement (and I speak for everyone on staff when I say that). Keep praying!

I have to share a cool story.
Things have been tight around here. We are making close to half of what we made before. Yet, I feel like for the first time we are managing what God has given us well. I guess we really can’t handle managing much….seriously.
Anyway, groceries are where I have tried to cut corners and make the budget work. I have gone insane with coupons and BOGO sales. It’s working out alright so far. We are living on the same grocery budget we had before a baby with formula and diapers and such (and we ate out a whole lot more). God is good!
So a couple weeks ago we went. I had a plan and we still over spent by $50. Now I freak out about stuff like that. Mark said to calm down… ‘it was groceries and we weren’t buying anything we didn’t need.” Well, the very next day we are eating lunch and Mark gets a call from his parents. They said there was a someone in their church that felt lead to give us $50! These people had never met us but just had heard about what we were doing!
Wow! That is so awesome! I mean seriously it is awesome that the amount was exactly $50 and nothing more or less. I think God just wanted to show me the detail and precision in the way He provides!
We are learning to trust God in a whole new way! It is actually pretty amazing!

The Ogelthorp mall in Savannah has this really cool place for babies and preschoolers to play. It is called soft play. The kids can climb and play on this foam like playground. I take Trey and the boys there at least once a week. They LOVE it! Trey loves this tunnel the most. He just crawls back and forth. He also likes to try to escape and get out into the mall so that is fun to monitor : )

Ok so all the pictures I have are of him in the tunnel. I guess he likes it more than I thought : )!

The boy actually sat still long enough and let me read to him! I was amazed! We took pictures! He liked this book that had a mirror in it the best…. oh my child…..what will we do with him?
Hopefully, he will develop a love for reading!
